THE STATUS OF THE AFFILIATED PROFESSOR, RESEARCHER AND LECTURER

The Rector of the University of Warsaw may confer, for a definite period of time, the status of the affiliated professor, researcher or lecturer at the University of Warsaw onto a person who is not employed at the University of Warsaw and who participates in research, development work and teaching activities conducted at the University of Warsaw.

The status of the affiliated professor, researcher and lecturer at the University of Warsaw shall authorise a given employee to:

  • conduct research, development work or teaching activities according to the rules specified by the Rector, the dean or the head of the university-wide organisational unit;
  • participate in programmes, projects or undertakings conducted at the University of Warsaw according to the rules specified by the Rector, the dean or the head of the university-wide organisational unit;
  • use the faculty libraries and the University of Warsaw Library according to the rules applicable to academic teachers;
  • use other facilities of the University of Warsaw, a faculty or a university-wide organisational unit, including premises, laboratories, materials, test apparatus and equipment, to the extent specified by the Rector, the dean or the head of the university-wide organisational unit.

The procedure of conferring the status of affiliated professor, researcher and lecturer at the University of Warsaw is governed by

Ordinance No. 76 of 17 April 2020 by the Rector of the University of Warsaw on the establishment of a procedure for conferring the status of affiliated professor, researcher or lecturer at the University of Warsaw.
