THE STATUS OF PROFESSOR (EMPLOYEE) EMERITUS
A person who was employed at the University of Warsaw in the position of professor (full professor (profesor zwyczajny), associate professor (profesor nadzwyczajny)) for a period not shorter than 10 years, shall be entitled to the status of Professor Emeritus (in exceptional cases, the Rector may confer this status onto a person who does not meet the above-mentioned requirements).
Professor emeritus at the University shall be entitled to the following:
- using the library system and the IT facilities on the conditions available to the University’s employees;
- affiliating scientific publications;
- a free-of-charge admission to the UW Museum and the UW Botanic Garden.
The deans/heads of other organisational units of the University may confer additional entitlements onto retired professors (Professor Emeritus) within the units they are managing.
